10 minute Tofu and Asparagus appetizer.


Once in my schedule when I feel like doing nothing and just wanted to relax . I think of this tofu & asparagus quick appetizer which make me full without increasing my calories plus its too simple to make.


Tofu which is made from soya is an excellent source of proteins,amino acids, iron, calcium and other micro-nutrients with many health benefits. It is also an excellent source of iron and calcium and the minerals manganese, selenium and phosphorous. In addition, tofu is a also good source of magnesium, copper, zinc and vitamin B1.


Asparagus- This succulent, savory vegetable is high in vitamin K and folate, & extremely well balanced, even among nutrient-rich vegetables. “Asparagus is high in anti-inflammatory nutrients as well as provides a wide variety of antioxidant nutrients, including vitamin C, beta-carotene, vitamin E, and the minerals zinc, manganese and selenium. Also is extremely low in calories at about 20 per serving (five spears), has no fat, and is low in sodium.


Whats better to have snacks with these 2 ingredients combined to get all the desired nutrients in the blink of an eye.


Ingredients


Tofu slices thick (think slices can be very fragile)

Aspharagus - medium chopped after removing the hard end part

Butter lettuce - for garishing

Dry Basil powder

Dry Mint powder

Dry Mango powder

Red chili powder

Oil for saute

celery salt/sea salt

Lemon juice


Methods


1.Add oil in pan , once the oil becomes little hot add all the dry ingredients like basil powder,mint powder,chili powder and dry mango powder according to taste .


2. Add tofu slices in the pan so that all the flavor of dry ingredients are absorbed by tofu.


3.Add aspharagus and saute them together . Remember to flip tofu to cook other side as well.


4. Add salt and lemon juice.


5, Garnish with finely chopped butter lettuce.
