Stuffed Cauliflower


If you are not a big fan of cauliflower ,here is the stuffed cauliflower recipe . This recipe is sure to enhance your taste buds and make you fall in love with the cauliflower.


Ingredients (Servings 3 )


1 Medium cauliflower

2 green chili chopped

3-4 cloves of garlic

1/2 inch ginger chopped

1 large onion chopped

1 medium tomatoes chopped

1/2 tsp cumin

1/4 mustard seeds

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1/2 tsp coriander powder

1/4 tsp black pepper

1/4 tsp nutmeg

1/4 dry mango powder

1/4 curry powder(optional)

1-2 Bay leaves

Salt as per taste


Method


  • Take a medium cauliflower ,clean it and trim the hard parts & leaves present at the end. Gently remove the end hard part and make sure you do not cut the cauliflower, it should remain intact.

  • Take a large pot and fill in water. Add some salt and let water boil. once the temperature of water increases add the cauliflower and let it in boiling water for 10-15 minutes(covered).

  • Remove the cauliflower from the boiling water and place it i a paper towel to remove water.

  • Meanwhile chop chili,cloves,garlic,onions & tomatoes together in a food processor and form a paste.

  • Add oil in a pan , once the oil becomes hot, add cumin, bay leaves and mustard seeds. when mustard seeds and cumin seeds stats crackling add the the onion-tomato paste and cook till it becomes brown . Add the dry powder (turmeric,coriander,black pepper, dry mango powder,nutmeg & salt). cook it till the oil is separated from the paste. Let the masala cool.

  • Take the cauliflower and fill the masala in the empty areas of cauliflower. put the masala between the florets gently ,make sure not to break it.

  • Once the cauliflower is stuffed with the masala. Drizzle some olive oil in the stuffed cauliflower and let it bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes at 375F.(You can adjust the time and temperature as per the tenderness you require in your dish)

  • Your stuffed cauliflower is ready, garnish it with cilantro and serve
